Pillivuyts factory has been operating in the heart of French Berry-area for almost two centuries, making it one of France's oldest and most prestigious porcelain producers. The company still carries the name of the Swiss founder, Louis Charles Pillivuyt. Still today, the companys master artisans use handicrafts that have been inherited for over the years producing a French made top-quality product. With this work culture, many handicraft techniques have been preserved and their results can be seen in unique objects such as the Lions Head Soup Bowl.
Pillivuyt produces their own durable porcelain compound. Thanks to the unique porcelain, extremely hard glazing and burning at 1400 °C, the products are very strong and durable. The porcelain products are impact- and blow-resistant and tolerate high temperature fluctuations. All product are Oven-safe. The silver and gold free dishes are well suited for the microwave oven - even directyly from freezing temperatures (-30°C to +350°C). The glaze of the products is cadmium- and lead-free and acid-proof so there will be no color change.
